Titan Quest 2 gives you a lot of flexibility when it comes to building your characters. Even though the two Masteries you choose early on in the game are permanent, almost everything else in your build can be changed whenever you want.
From trying out new skills and different modifiers to reallocating your passives and feats, the game allows you to do all of this as per your playstyle. That being said, this article is going to provide a complete guide on how to respec your character in Titan Quest 2.
Titan Quest 2: How to Respec Your Character

You can respec your Active and Passive Skills at any time through the game’s Mastery menu. All you need to do is open the menu, go to the Masteries tab, and look at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
There, you’ll see an option called Respec Mode. Clicking it will open up a new screen where you can increase or decrease your skill levels however you want.
It is important to keep in mind that each point you remove or reassign will cost Gold, and the total cost increases depending on how many points you change. If you want to reset everything, there’s also a Refund All button in the middle of the screen.
This option will remove all invested Skill Points and give them back to you so you can start fresh. Once you’re done, confirm your new setup by selecting the Accept button. If you change your mind, you can also hit Discard to cancel.
Respeccing Attributes: Ritual of Athena
If you want to reset your Attribute Points, you’ll need to visit a Shrine of the Gods in one of the game’s villages. There, you can perform the Ritual of Athena to reassign your attributes. However, this option comes at a high Gold cost, so it’s best to use it when it’s absolutely necessary, but at least its easier than the Trickster’s Shrine Puzzle.
Changing Modifiers and Feats

Unlike active and passive skills, Skill Modifiers can be swapped out at any time with no cost. This gives you the flexibility to test a variety of skills. From changing the damage type or focusing on crowd control, you can make these adjustments however you want based on your playstyle or equipment.
Feats, which unlock after you invest six and twelve points in a skill tree, can also be changed freely. These let you adjust for stats like crit chance, cast speed, or elemental damage. You can readjust and switch these stats based on the needs of your current build or gear setup.
Can you change your Masteries?
While skills and feats can be changed freely, Masteries are locked in once you choose them during the prologue. These are the two core paths your character follows throughout the game and cannot be altered later.
However, you can still make entirely new characters with different Mastery combinations using the game’s multiple character slots.
Tips for Character Respec in Titan Quest 2

Respeccing isn’t just for correcting mistakes. It’s a useful mechanic that allows you to adapt to new situations or gear.
If you find new equipment that boosts a specific damage type, you can shift your build to make the most of it. For example, you might switch from a Fire-based build using Ring of Flame to an Ice-based one using Ice Shards, depending on your loot.
You can also respec your character in Titan Quest 2 before tough boss fights to improve survivability or focus on single-target damage. This makes the game feel more fun and less punishing for trying out new things.
