How to Unlock All Faction Characters in XDefiant

XDefiant takes a unique approach to its world by utilizing various factions that appear across Ubisoft games. From Watch Dog’s DedSec group to Far Cry’s Libertad rebellions, these factions come with their own unique characters and abilities. By default, only one out of the three characters in each faction will be unlocked, so how do you unlock all faction characters in XDefiant? Let’s find out.

How to Unlock All Characters from Every Faction in XDefiant

XDefiant features five factions with three characters each. These five factions are Cleaners, Phantoms, Libertad, Echelon, and DedSec. Here is a list of all the characters from each Faction in XDefiant and how to unlock them:

Cleaners

• De Rosa: Unlocked by default
• Green: Get 50 kills with Incinerator Drone
• Kersey: Get 50 kills with Firebomb

Phantoms

• Singa: Unlocked by default
• Gorgon: Block 10,000 damage with Mag Barrier
• Rhino: Get 25 kills with Blitz Shield

Libertad

• Iselda: Unlocked by default
• Beto: Heal 5,000 to allies with BioVida Boost
• Seleste: Heal 5,000 to allies with El Remedio

Echelon

• Malee: Unlocked by default
• Rafa: Get 50 Intel Suit Spot assists
• Samir: Get 100 kills while using Digital Ghillie Suit

DedSec

DedSec characters Gia, Jing, and Sebastian are unlocked by purchasing the faction for 1.000 XCoins or earning a total of 700,000 XP.

These unlock requirements for all XDefiant faction characters are fairly easy to complete and only require you to use the same faction active abilities as the faction character you are trying to unlock. As Ubisoft adds more Factions to the game with each season, starting with Season 1, there will be more characters to unlock.

It is yet to be seen if the new faction characters will be unlocked via challenges like the current Factions or if they will be purchasable like DedSec currently. But one thing is for sure: They will never be behind a paywall and will always be unlockable by just playing the game, meeting certain requirements, or completing challenges.
