F1 24 is bringing some much-needed changes this year compared to last year’s title. This time, players will get to experience the all-new handling model called Dynamic Handling. It also features a revamped career mode that allows you to play as one of the drivers from the 2024 F1 Season.
But will F1 24 be on PS4 so players on the old-gen console can also experience all of the new content? Here is everything you need to know.
Will F1 24 be on PS4?
Yes, F1 24 is available on the PS4, you can head to the PlayStation Store to pre-order it. If you are also planning to upgrade to a PS5 later, purchasing the Standard Edition or the Champions Edition will give you access to the PS5 version as well. This means you can continue right where you left off on the PS4 without having to buy an additional copy.
However, certain features are unavailable on the PS4, like ray tracing in replays and showrooms and the new Dynamic Diffuse Global Illumination lighting during races. The PS4 version also lacks the immersive haptic feedback that you get on the PS5’s Dualsense controller.

But rest assured, these are just graphical and performance-related issues because of PS4’s older hardware. The game’s content is the same on both PS4 and PS5, meaning you will still get to experience the addicting new career mode, the new Dynamic Handling, and all the track updates and changes coming this year.
If you already own F1 2021, F1 22, or F1 23 on the PS4, you will also be eligible for a 15% loyalty discount if you decide to pre-order the F1 24 Champions Edition. So, make sure you pre-order it before F1 24 launches on May 31, 2024.
