When Helldivers 2 launched, it was clear that the game had a lot of potential for many new things like stratagems, weapons, and more. Now, we are finally starting to see some brand new content being added to the game as part of the new Warbond called Cutting Edge, which introduces multiple new weapons including a brand-new Energy-based weapon called the LAS-16 Sickle.
Is LAS 16 Sickle Worth Getting In Helldivers 2?
Yes, the LAS-16 Sickle is now one of the best weapons in Helldivers 2. This is because it is highly accurate, has high damage and fire rate, and also has unlimited ammo if you can manage the overheating.
It does overheat quickly though but when used correctly in short bursts, it is very powerful and you won’t need to worry about ammo as much. The battery coil icon beside your magazines shows how close you are to overheating.
Besides having unlimited ammo in theory, it also has three zoom levels on its scope; 25m, 50m, and 100m. This allows you to be versatile and accurately hit your shots with the scope even at longer ranges. And with the laser projectiles traveling very fast, you won’t even need to aim ahead of a moving target.

The only real downside to the LAS-16 is the fact that it does not have a flashlight attachment, which can make it difficult for night missions on some of the planets.
How To Unlock LAS-16 Sickle In Helldivers 2
LAS-16 Sickle in Helldivers 2 is unlocked with 20 Medals on the first page of the premium Warbond Cutting Edge. The Warbond itself will cost you 1000 Super Credits to unlock. Once unlocked, you can equip it from the Armory or during the loadout equip screen after entering the Hellpod for a mission.
