Moon Studios’ first foray into creating an RPG game called No Rest for the Wicked has seen a lot of hype surrounding it. This attempt at reinventing the top-down ARPG genre was met with more excitement after the reveal of multiplayer coming to the game, but is No Rest for the Wicked co-op multiplayer on launch? Let’s find out.
Will No Rest for the Wicked Have Co-Op Multiplayer?
No Rest for the Wicked will not have co-op multiplayer on launch. According to the official roadmap of the game, co-op multiplayer is a planned feature for the first major update of the game.
However, there is no actual release window for this update or at what intervals will these major updates come out post-launch. Currently, we only know that the multiplayer update will come before the Act 2 update, which will add The Breach area.

Moon Studios is vocal about wanting to create a fun and refined co-op experience that does not restrict players from sticking together all the time like most other co-op titles do. This is achieved by creating Realms that players can enter and exit whenever and also be able to explore on their own.
There have been some frustrations as many players were excited to play along with friends on launch day itself. It is never a good case when players are forced to wait for the multiplayer update since they do not want to spoil the game by playing solo, so hopefully we see Update 1 roll out sooner rather than later.
We’ll continue to update this guide with more details surrounding multiplayer features in No Rest for the Wicked as they are made available by the developers.
