Is Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League Multiplayer?

Whether Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is multiplayer has been a burning question ever since it became evident that the title will be a live-service game. As everyone must know by now, the game features four playable protagonists, each with unique abilities and styles. Let’s dive into what we know about the Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and explore the game’s various modes.

Does Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Have Multiplayer?

Yes. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is indeed a multiplayer game. However, as opposed to many popular live-service games in the industry, this game doesn’t feature a competitive multiplayer mode. This means that, unlike Fortnite, CS2, or League of Legends, you won’t be battling other players. Instead, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League features a co-op multiplayer mode.

You can select a character from the playable four, i.e. Deadshot, Harley Quinn, King Shark, or Captain Boomerang, and join a party of three other players to work cooperatively to achieve objectives. The game only features an online co-op mode but not a local or co-op multiplayer mode. Meaning, you can’t play with four (or fewer) of your friends using the same console. Instead, you will have to play with other players online.

Note: You can also complete the entirety of the Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’s main mission on your own, as the game also supports solo campaign mode. If you decide to play this game as a solo player, you can switch characters seamlessly at any time (except while engaged in active combat).

How Can I Access Multiplayer Mode in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League?

To unlock Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League multiplayer mode, you will first need to complete the introduction sequence of the game alone. This includes all the necessary tutorials and can take up to 30 to 60 minutes. You will be allowed to control each of the four playable characters, so you can select which one attracts you the most and matches your desired playstyle.

After that, once the Squad reaches Metropolis and locks horns with two major Justice League members, you will be given an opportunity to enter the co-op mode. You will see an on-screen prompt, indicating that you can now join the multiplayer mode.

To invite your friends and begin a co-op multiplayer campaign, simply follow these steps:

  1. Pause the game.
  2. In the pause menu, highlight an open character slot.
  3. Invite your friend by hitting the ‘Invite’ button and input their player ID.

Important Notes:

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League supports both cross-play and cross-progression. Cross-play means that you and your friends can play the co-op multiplayer mode, even if you are using two different consoles, such as PS5 and PC via Steam.

Furthermore, the game lets you jump into any co-op session (as long as it’s allowed by the host) anytime you want. You can also run Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League multiplayer mode on Public setting. This allows random players to jump into your session.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League supports cross-progression. This means that you can join a co-op session with a friend who is further ahead of you in the campaign than you. This can come in handy if you aren’t too keen on following the plot of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and just want to jump in for some quick action.

The game will automatically detect that you have progressed in the story and even if you decide to return to the single-player mode, your progress will begin from a new, advanced point. However, do not fret. The game lets you revisit any of the game’s chapters at any time, so you can eventually revisit the chapters that you have skipped if you wish to do so.
