Nexon’s third-person Looter Shooter, The First Descendant, is garnering a lot of attention from gamers. PC players and those on the Xbox and PlayStation are waiting in anticipation of its release. But those playing on the Switch are still left wondering if they can play the game when it comes out.
In this guide, we’ll tell you all you need to know about whether The First Descendant is coming to Nintendo Switch. Let’s hop in.
Is the First Descendant Coming to Nintendo Switch
Sad news for portable gamers, the First Descendant is not releasing on Nintendo Switch. There’s no news about a possible Switch release in the future, either. For now, the game is coming out on PC and both the old and new-gen Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

In all fairness, The First Descendant is a pretty graphics-intensive game requiring a lot of power to run smoothly. The game’s performance will have to be cut down significantly on older-gen consoles to maintain a playable framerate. While it might not be good news for those who wanted to play the game on the Nintendo handheld, it’s certainly not a massive shocker.
The silver lining here is that the developers at Nexon haven’t explicitly stated that they won’t release the game on Switch. A future release is still a possibility. Warframe, a similar game that came out back in 2013, had its Switch release almost four years later in 2018.
Whether The First Descendant will come to Switch in the future remains to be seen. For now, you can enjoy the game on Windows PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox One and Series consoles.
