Killing Floor 3, the third iteration of the beloved franchise, features quite a few bosses that you can fight and overcome. One boss that you’ll come across is the Queen Crawler, a self-replicating zed, one of Dr. Moorcroft’s major achievements.
This boss can be quite easy or difficult, depending on how prepared you are with loadouts and movesets. If you are struggling with this boss, here’s a detailed guide on how you should consider fighting the Queen Crawler.
How to defeat Queen Crawler in Killing Floor 3

The Queen Crawler is an aggressive boss, but its biggest weakness is that it’s completely unarmored. This means its body is exposed, and the right weapons can deal massive damage to the boss.
The boss is incredibly weak to any weapon that can deal Heat and Biological damage. Additionally, the Firebug class is quite good against the Queen Crawler as the former can deal Heat damage with both her Gadget and Throwable.
I recommend that you destroy its web traps and eggs first, and avoid Mire portals during its final phase. The boss’s weak points lie around its head, inner mouth, and back abdomen.
Also, make sure you bring a Medic with the team to heal players and revive them whenever required. This is because the boss deals a lot of damage.

Queen Crawler move list in Killing Floor 3

While you’re trying to fight the Queen Crawler, learning its moves will make the challenge a lot easier. Below is a table with that moveset.
Move List | Description | How to Counter |
---|---|---|
Charge | The Queen Crawler will charge at the player and try to bite them in its path. | Make sure you damage its weak spots, which will stop the boss in its tracks. Additionally, walking away from its path can also be helpful. |
Jump | The boss will jump on the sky and crash down on players, dealing massive damage. | Once the boss is up in the air, it doesn’t change the crash location. Simply run away from the area |
Portal | Once the boss is below 50% health, it starts opening purple portals from where it can emerge and deal damage. If you stand on the portals, you take burn damage. | The good news here is that you can easily run away from the Portals. As such, whenever they appear, make sure you get away to prevent taking too much damage. |
Mini Crawlings | The boss will spawn mini Crawlings that will run towards the players and deal additional damage alongside the boss. | These Crawlings are easy to kill, so make sure you take them down as quickly as possible. While a single one of them doesn’t hit as hard, if they group up, they will take you down quickly. |
It’s a good idea to use use ziplines around the arena to get away from the boss, or communicate with your team to switch the boss’s gaze. Getting the gaze isn’t hard, as all you need to do is start shooting its head.
