Elderwood had 15 chests hidden away in different nooks and crannies of the map. It’s your job to find them all and unlock the ‘Elderwood Riches’ achievement. Whether you’re trying to unlock this achievement or not, finding these chests will reward you with various mystery bags and recipes. This guide shows you where all of these chests are, along with the specific grid that they’re on!
#1 Mauvais Way
Your first chest can be found in Mauvais Way, specifically towards the bottom right of the A4 grid on the map. Jump up the cliffs 2 times, and you’ll find the first chest in the corner facing you. Inside this chest, you’ll find 1 Hunting Mystery Bag.
#2 Okanaa Bog
In the C7 section of the grid, in Okanaa Bog, look for a spot that represents ancient ruins, surrounded by pillars. Towards one corner, spot a violet flower on the ground, jump on it to gain a massive boost in the air. You’ll land around the base of a tree. Your 2nd chest can be found around the base of the tree, among the bushes. Loot this chest for 1 Mining Mystery Bag.
#3 Mauvais Way
Head to this corner in D5, at Mauvais Way. Climb the cliffs, and the chest will be past some bushes, in a corner. The reward is 1 Hunting Mystery Bag for this chest.
#4 Red Blossom
On the path from Red Blossom to Okanaa Bog, there is a small ledge you can climb to the left, in D5. Once you climb it, you’ll spot the treasure chest in a narrow pathway. 1 Fishing Mystery Bag can be found inside this chest.
#5 Red Blossom Cave
The 5th chest in Elderwood is around the middle of the Red Blossom Cave, at E7. From the small pond in the middle of the cave, move northeast, towards the top-right corner of E7. You’ll find a small corner with a wall you can climb. On top, you’ll find the fourth chest with 1 Hunting Mystery Bag inside it.
#6 Deep Woods
Your 6th treasure chest is at F6, in Deep Woods. Among the flowers, you’ll notice a bunch of purple crates, along with the treasure chest, in the middle of the wall between the road to Lilac Cavern and Central Stables. From this chest, you’ll get 1 Sacred Flower and Recipe: Flowtato Fries with Ketchup
#7 Central Stables
Head northeast on Central Stables, towards G4. Your 7th chest is up on a ledge to the right. You’ll find 1 Foraging Mystery Bag in this treasure chest.
#8 Mitana Grove
At the entrance of Mitana Grove, you’ll notice a bridge on grid G3. You can find your chest under the left side entrance of the bridge. As the location suggests, you’ll get 1 Fishing Mystery Bag in this chest.
#9 Deep Woods
In Deep Woods, there is an area walled off by rocks. To get to this area, first head to G7, climb the rocks surrounding that area, and you will be able to see the treasure chest in the middle of this hole, along with some purple boxes. 1 Hunting Mystery Bag will be found inside this chest.
#10 Honeymiel Slope
Towards the path leading to Lilac Cavern, from Honeymiel Slope, there is a small ledge where you can climb up to find the next treasure chest in Elderwood. To be more precise, this is located in G5. Loot this chest for 1 Mining Mystery Bag.
#11 Honeymiel Slope
This treasure chest is around the same location you found the last one. It can be found in G5, towards the northern part of Lilac Cavern, in a small tunnel. For this chest, you’ll get 1 Hunting Mystery Bag.
#12 Deep Woods
The 12th treasure chest in Palia in Elderwood can be a bit tricky to reach. This is located in Deep Woods, on top of a purple mushroom platform at G8. But to reach this platform, you’ll need to head to H8, climb the mushroom platform and on top, you’ll find a bouncy flower. Jump on it and use your glider to get on the platform at G8 containing the treasure chest. You’ll find 1 Mining Mystery Bag inside this chest.
#13 Honeymiel Slope
This treasure chest is in the middle of the grid H4. Climb the highest cliff in Honeymiel Slope and you’ll spot the 13th chest at the base of a tree. 1 Fishing Mystery Bag can be found in this chest.
#14 Deep Woods
The 14th treasure chest is located towards the edge of H8, in Deep Woods. Its on top of one of the large trees in the eastern side with the mushrooms on its side. Climb to the top, and you’ll find the chest on the mushroom platform. You’ll get 1 Fishing Mystery Bag in this chest.
#15 Jenesse Path
The final chest can be found at the edge of Jenesse Path, at H7. Follow the stream to find the chest at a corner. For this chest, you’ll get 1 Hunting Mystery Bag.
