Elderwood is a newly released expansion of Palia, introducing players to a lush, magical forest buzzing with new creatures and secrets! Scattered throughout this area are several stables, which you can use as fast travel locations once you discover them! In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to start the ‘Through the Woods’ quest, explore different parts of Elderwood to unlock the stables and even get a nice reward at the end of it!
How To Start Through The Woods Quest In Palia
Once you enter Elderwood, make your way to the Central Stables through the main path, and talk to Nai’o. This interaction will trigger the start of the ‘Through the Woods’ quest.
The names of stables are also subtle clues about where they are located. The stables are as follows:
- Pinecone Stables
- Tall Tree Stables
- Lakeside Stables
- Rocky Cliff Stables
Mitana Grove – Pinecone Stables
Your first stable is located in Mitana Grove, to the North of the Central Stables. Head towards the centre island of Mitana Grove, then jump over to the rocky ledge, across the water, to access the other half of this grove. Scale the wall and you’ll see the Pinecone Stables among the, you guessed it, pinecone trees towards your right corner.
Deep Woods – Tall Tree Stables
To find the second stable, you’ll need to head to Deep Woods, southeast of Central Stables. Set your marker to this area and head over there. Once you’re at this location, you’ll notice a stable high up in a tree, surrounded by a rainforest-y scenery. You’ll have to scale this tree while stopping at the mushrooms attached to its side to recharge stamina. Interacting with this stable will unlock the Tall Tree Stables.
De Mer Dock – Lakeside Stables
The 3rd location for the stables is De Mer Dock. Make your way West from Deep Woods, through Red Blossom Cave, and you’ll arrive at De Mer Dock. Go all the way southwest to spot an overwater hut fostering a stable. As the name suggests, interacting with this stable will unlock the Lakeside Stables.
Mauvais Way – Rocky Cliffs Stables
The last stable we need to unlock is on top of Mauvais Way. Make your way North from De Mer Dock to reach Mauvais Way. Once you reach this location, climb the tree trunks and cliff edges to reach the top. Once you’re at the top, you’ll spot the final stable.
To complete the quest, you’ll have to interact with Nai’o. If it is night by the time you discover all the stables, you’ll need to head back to Kilimar Village and interact with him at his house, which is at Leafhopper Hills.
Once you’ve interacted with Nai’o, you will have completed the quest and gotten +15 Renown. As a cherry on top, you’ll also be able to set up a stable at your house.
