Thriving and progressing in Palia requires you to help the citizens, and it stands true for the Not-So-Good-Boy quest. Eshe desperately needs your help as she is bothered by Tau. The quest requires you to gather information about a hidden stash of papers from familiar faces, search for them, and then return them to Eshe.
How To Complete Not-So-Good Boy Quest In Palia
This quest is a Discovery Quest given by Eshe. However, you will require a Friendship Level 1 with her to attain this quest. I tried to visit her as often as possible and chat with her. Once I did, I saw an exclamation mark on her head indicating that there was a quest available.
Here are the objectives for the quest:
- Talk to Hassain about Tau
- Talk to Tau
- Find Tau’s hidden stash of papers.
Note: This quest doesn’t progress linearly unlike other quests in the game. Therefore, you can attempt these steps in any sequence. However, I saw fit to talk to Hassain first since he could provide a clue regarding the location of the stack of papers.

Talk To Hassain About Tau
I started the quest by making my way over to Hassain. Upon talking to him, he informed me that Tau isn’t his dog and that Plumehounds are independent creatures. However, he also advised me to search Bahari Bay for the papers.
Talk To Tau
Tau just tilts his head and barks, so no useful information is revealed through this venture. Although, it makes for a cute interaction.

Find Tau’s Hidden Stash Of Papers.
Following Hassain’s advice, I made my way over to Bahari Bay to the hidden stash of papers. I walked past the entrance gate of Bahari Bay and followed the muddy pawprints of Tau.
The pawprints soon disappeared, but I climbed the rock a little bit ahead of them. I saw a pile of dirt and searching it revealed a Semi-Chewed Newspaper. Now all that was left was to return to Eshe to complete this quest.
If you have followed my steps, you should have completed the Not-So-Good Boy quest. You will receive 15 Renown and 300 Gold as reward.
