With The Awakened King DLC in Remnant 2 came a host of new items like Rings, Amulets, Weapons, etc. Among the newly added amulets, the Participation Medal is a secret item that provides stat buffs to health, stamina, and even movement speed. All of these make it a viable item in certain builds.
So let’s take a look at how you can get the Remnant 2 Participation Medal and how good can it really be for your character and build.

Where To Find The Remnant 2 Participation Medal
The Participation Medal in Remnant 2 is obtained when you die to a final World Boss while being on the Apocalypse difficulty. Even though this was added in The Awakened King DLC update, this can be done in any World and does not require the DLC.
Keep in mind that only the final boss of any given world counts, also known as World Bosses. It might also require multiple tries before you actually get it. The difficult part of this is actually reaching the World Boss by defeating all the others before it. Once there, you just need to keep dying to the World Boss until you get the Participation medal.
List Of All World Bosses In Remnant 2
To make it easier to understand which bosses will trigger the Remnant 2 Participation Medal to be dropped, we have compiled a list of all World Bosses from each World:
World | World Bosses |
---|---|
Losomn | Faerin, Faelin, The Nightweaver, The One True King (DLC) |
N’Erud | Sha’Hala: Spectral Guardian, Tal Ratha, Tal Ratha Metaphysical |
Yaesha | Corrupter, Corrupted Ravager |
The Labyrinth | Labyrinth Sentinel |
Root Earth | Annihilation |
Common Issues With The Remnant 2 Participation Medal
Getting the Participation Medal in Remant 2 might be harder than you thought because of some small issues that might cause you to not get it despite doing everything right. As said before, it can take you multiple attempts of dying to a World Boss before getting it. There seems to be no fixed number as players report different numbers in their experience.
Another issue that can cause you to not get the Participation Medal is that if your Apocalypse difficulty playthrough started before The Awakened King DLC update. This could be due to you already dying to World Bosses in the playthrough which makes the newer attempts not count.
In such a case, we recommend you start a new Adventure roll separately and complete a full World of your choice to reach the World Boss. This seems to be the only workaround for now.
How Good Is The Remnant 2 Participation Medal?
The Participation Medal in Remnant 2 buffs multiple things at once, more things than any other Amulet in the game so far. Here is what it can do:
- Increases Health by 10
- Increases Stamina by 10
- Increases Movement Speed by 10%
- Grants 10% Damage Reduction
As you can see, this Amulet will make your character tougher and more survivable overall. Things like Damage Reduction can be stacked. So, if your build already focuses on Damage Reduction, this will increase it even further by 10%. The same holds true for the other stats on the Amulet. This is perfect for a tanky build or for any build that needs buffs overall.
However, there are better Amulets for focused builds that will likely replace this for your Amulet Slot. But for a completionist, getting this Remnant 2 Participation Medal in your collection is still worth something.
