As you go around exploring the map Avowed has to offer, you will run into many side quests that can give you rewards and other items. Some of these side quests are permanent, while some of them will only be available by choosing specific dialogue choices and decisions. This guide will help you locate all of the side quests so that you can unlock the Pentiment Achievement.

All Side Quests In Dawnshore
1. Armor Fit For The Wilds
This quest doesn’t require talking to a special character to begin. It will start on its own once you leave Claviger’s Landing. Just walk towards Ivona’s Threshold Party Camp and you should be able to start the quest. It involves searching the watermill for some supplies and collecting ladders & pelts.
2. Cabin Fever
Cabin Fever can be started by talking to Dehengen at her cabin. It will be in Claviger’s Landing. You’ll have to battle some Xaurips who’ve invaded her house and search around the cabin to complete this quest.
3. Totem Of Rightful Rulership
To start this quest, buy the Fragments of The Scales from Sanza. Getting another totem piece should work too. Go to Paradis Hightown, meet Sanza, and ask him about the items he’s put up for sale. Purchase the Fragments of the Scales map which will have locations of all Woedica’s God Totem fragments.
4. Mapping The Living Lands: Dawnshore
This quest starts once you speak to Sanza, a merchant usually seen North of Claviger’s Landing or in Paradis Hightown. He’ll request that you look for a cartographer in the Eastern Wilds and will pay you for the map.
5. Forged Of Star Stuff
For this quest, go to the Godless Altar south of Precarious Hold in Southern Embrace. Getting your hands on any fragment of Starmetal will automatically trigger the quest. You can find the first piece in the Godless Altar, right on the table in the center.
6. Lost Suoles
This quest begins in Shantytown, South of the Administration District. Go and meet a Shantytown Dweller and find all the items he requests to complete this quest.
7. The Finer Things In Battle
To start this quest, head over to the Apothecary shop in Paradis. Defeat Wetenu & Thalla and help the Apothecarist to begin the quest. You’ll find out new information about your assassin and also get to upgrade your items.
8. Dawntreader
This quest must be completed before you start any other mission in the game’s second area. Go to the Aedyran Embassy in the Administration District and talk to Ofryc. He will ask you to look for the Aedyran Expedition Team.
9. The Call of The Past
This quest starts automatically once you’ve used your camp to rest a couple of times. You will hear an unknown conversation while you’re resting. The Call of the Past involves looking for the source of this voice so that you can understand the past.
10. Escape Plan
For this quest, go to Southern Paradis and speak to Remei Gardiola, who’ll be standing beside the large pots. You’ll have to acquire Ondra’s Kiss and the Land Deeds to complete this quest.
11. Precious Light
This quest is also accessible near Southern Paradis. Go and speak to Sapiento De Falva who will be standing near some crates. You’ll have to inquire about the Luminous Adra to complete this quest.
12. A Lady Never Tells
This quest starts in the center of Paradis, North of the Apothecary Shop. Go up to the concerned courtesan standing with some guards and talk to Giuliana to find out about the quest.
All Side Quests In Emerald Stair
13. Scofflaw’s Vase
Try to complete this quest once you reach the second region. Go to the Clifftop Sinkhole South of Coastal Farms. Take down the sporelings and help Yatzli with the vase to complete the quest.
14. Elder Offerings
This quest begins in Fior mes Iverno, North of the fountain in this area. Go and speak to Rosanna Fallo. She’ll request you to help her with the offerings scattered over Truffle Farm, South Coast and Swamp.
15. Missing Rangers
Missing Rangers takes place in Fior mes Iverno too, but instead of going North of the fountain, go to the right of the structure, between Bone & Boar and Giatta’s House. Look for Lieutenant Fidelio to start the quest. It involves finding two rangers, Belena and Adelarro.
16. Totem of Defiance
Go to the Farmer’s Market, North of Coastal Farms, and buy “Fragments of the Offering” from Lluisa Melcer to start the quest.
17. Mapping The Living Lands: Emerald Stair
To start this quest, head over to Naku Tedek Grounds and find Fleccia’s Map. It will be on the edge of a cliff. Return the map to Sanza to complete the quest.
18. Memory Of The Deep
Go to the Coastal Farms and speak to Josep Abaccio, who’ll ask you to look for some remnants near Lake Lacuna. Find the materials to complete Memory of the Deep quest.
19. Nature Vs. Nurture
You can only start this quest if Fior mes Iverno hasn’t been destroyed in the main storyline. Go to the area on the right of Farmer’s Market near Coastal Farms. Speak to Dolina and search the Xaurip camp to complete the quest.
20. Debt Of Blood
Debt of Blood will also only be available if Fior mes Iverno hasn’t been destroyed. Go to the Abandoned Farms North of Fior mes Iverno and speak to Vemas Rogera. You’ll have to kill Captain Carnet to complete Debt of Blood.
21. A Relic From The Ashes
Head over to Naku Tedek and speak to Luminous Alfons who’ll be inside the structure. You’ll have to retrieve the Reliquary for him for the quest.
22. The Sinkhole Stroll
Go to the Western side of Maxim’s Claim and you should automatically start the Sinkhole Stroll quest after hearing Old Felipe’s voice.
23. Food Theft
This quest can be started in the area North of the Farmer’s Market in Fior mes Iverno. This is another quest that will only be available if Fior mes Iverno hasn’t been destroyed. Speak to Sielo Piannini, and help him get back the crops that were stolen from him. This will complete the Food Theft Quest.
24. Steel Resolve
Go to the Overgrown Homestead, South of The Delemgan Glade. You’ll see a person behind a cell. Break it and talk to the ranger, Verano. You’ll have to then report to Ranger Captain Acierno for the quest.
All Side Quests In Shatterscarp
25. The Map of the Living Lands: Shatterscarp
This time, the map can be found in the region south of the Sand Sea Oasis. The cartographer will be lying on a rock platform with the map on the left side.
26. That Which Remains
Go to Scaedclef, North of the Ancient Lakebed, and enter the cave on the right of the location. You’ll have to break the blockage to get in using a spell. Once you reach inside, keep following the path until you see a Research Home Key on the Right side of the door. Pick it up and head to the Research house to get the Well Key. This will start the “That Which Remains” quest.
27. Totem of Revelations
Go to Thirdborn and open the huge gate with fish on it. Go to the right side and then straight to meet Cinza. Purchase her Fragments of the Eyes map to start the Totem of Revelations quest.
28. Don’t Look Down
Head over to this area Southwest of Pargrun Cache and speak to Moapo, who will be standing near some spiked fences.
29. Heart of Valor
Go to Thirdborn, North of the Leviathan Market, and you should be able to see Chiko there. You’ll have to then speak to Keipo to complete the quest.
30. First Contact With The Enemy
In Deadfall Highlands, speak to Private Nauki, who will be standing near the open field. This quest requires you to recover some badges from other soldiers.
31. One Last Drink
Head over to the Deadswordfish in Thirdborn and speak to Captain Ngunu. He’ll be standing on the left side of the place.
32. Fires In The Mine
Go to Eagle Mines, just beside Ancient Lakebed. You’ll have to speak to an Aedyran Soldier standing near the edge of the cliff.
33. Home Sweet Home
Go to the area South of Eagle’s Reach, and start a conversation with Namcho and Tamamu. You’ll have to clear out their homestead to complete the quest.
34. The Wasteland Courier
Go near the Fleet Master’s Perch in Thirdborn and look for Daiko. He’ll ask you for help regarding a secret courier.
All Side Quests In Galawain’s Tusk
35. Totem of Perseverance
This quest will start as soon as you purchase the Fragments of the Spoils map or any other totem part from the store. Go to Solace Keep and look for Quartermaster Yorgu.
36. Mapping The Living Lands: Galawain’s Tusk
Go slightly South of Soreena’s Mercy near Solace Keep and then meet Renato. He will be inside the huge building’s second floor behind a cell wall. Speak to the Warden as well to help free Renato and get the map back to Sanza.
37. A Home For Outcasts
Go to the Salt Flat Farms and speak to a Pargrun Outcast to begin the Quest. You’ll have to defeat some Xaurips to complete this quest.
38. Keep History Alive
Again at Soreena’s Mercy, near the Primordial Depths South Beacon, find and speak to Novice Bojan. You should unlock a quest where you have to speak to an Elder.
39. A Cure For Rage
Go to the Shallow Steppe and meet Warden Lerae. Help her out by finding Gilyn and that should complete the A Cure For Rage Quest.
40. Wardens Warding
Go to the Southern Warden Tower near The Shallow Steppe and meet Warden Radut. Talk to Amalia on Radut’s behalf to complete the Wardens Warding Quest.
41. Boundaries of Antiquity
Go to Solace Keep again and look at the notes on the board. You should see a “Help Wanted” poster asking for help regarding repairs of the Godless Aqueducts. Pick the note up and speak to the required characters to begin the quest.
42. Homecoming
Go to Solace Keep and meet Captain Geofri on the second floor of the tower. You’ll have to investigate Petru to start the quest.
