One of the many puzzles we encounter after starting the ‘Throes of the Watchmaker‘ DLC, is the Rail Forest. This is a tricky room that has 2 holes in the middle of the road that are preventing us from continuing with our story, and it’s our job to fill in the missing pieces. This guide will show you exactly how to move the boxes containing the tracks so that you can get out of the Rail Forest in no time!
How To Solve The Rail Forest Puzzle In Sea of Stars
At the Rail Forest, head straight and climb the ladder. Climb up and make your way towards the centre of the room by shimmying across the ledge. Climb the ladder and on top, there will be 2 paths, to the left and right. Both of these paths contain tracks that you need to carefully manoeuvre to place on the broken railroad.
First, move towards the east of the room, and you’ll see 2 rail blocks. Initially, push the first rail block upwards, and then to the left. It’ll reach the leftmost end of the path. The 2nd rail block is stuck on a small corner. So you’ll have to push it towards the right first, then upwards, and then to the left, the same direction you sent the first block.
Doing so will perfectly align the second rail block to fall towards the right of the stairs you climbed up on. After the block falls, make sure you drop down and push it further down the perfect block-sized cavity on the ground so that it falls towards the railroad and fills the missing gap.
Climb the ladder again, and this time, go towards your left. There is a slight difference in the path towards the left. There is a small corner that prevents the block from sliding down through the gap if it’s fully on top of the path. So we have to work around that to get the rail block underneath this platform.
To do this, first push both the blocks to the top and then to the right. Then push the block on the left side downwards, and then left again. Then push the block that was on the right, towards the left and then back down to the starting area.
When you push the block that was on the left side of the path back to the right side, it should hit the corner and fit perfectly to slide down that gap to the left of the ladder.
Drop down and push this block through the cavity as well, and it will be positioned perfectly to complete the railroad and you can safely move on to the next level!
