Starfield’s character creation menu offers various choices, including traits for your character in the game. Alien DNA is unique because it lets you reap the benefits of having your character get alien DNA experimentally transplanted into their body.
Still, is the Alien DNA trait even a good choice in the game? That’s what we are about to find out in this article. From the benefits to trait removal, follow along to learn everything about Alien DNA, which is just one of the 17 known traits in Starfield.
Is Alien DNA Any Good In Starfield?
Alien DNA is a good starting trait for players in Starfield. Not only does it give an extra +50 HP at the start, but it also increases your O2 levels to +50 at the start as well. So, it makes exploring dangerous areas or planets easier without worrying too much about depleting oxygen or health in the game.
One major downside of Alien DNA is that it reduces the effectiveness of healing items by 20% and health packs by 25%, making the later parts of the game difficult for scaling purposes. My suggestion would be to start with Alien DNA and, later on, remove it when it becomes difficult to scale your HP and O2 levels.
Alien DNA also has no incompatibility with the other 16 traits in the game, so you can mix and match it with anything that strikes your fancy.
