It won’t be a Bethesda experience without some hiccups in the gameplay. The only way to start the Starfield’s Terran Armada DLC is by listening to a broadcast playing via the SSNN beacon. You must listen to the entire broadcast to begin the DLC questline. But many players have reported not hearing the broadcast message from the beacon, even after spending a lot of time at the spot. Here’s what to do if you are facing this issue as well.
How to Fix the Bug & Start The Broadcast in Starfield Terran Armada

There are 2 ways to deal with this bug, and both involve traveling away from the beacon and then coming back again. Make your way to Akila City and head to the town center, climb the staircase, and you will start hearing the broadcast message from the SSNN broadcast beacon. You will get a new objective, “Listen to the SSNN Broadcast” with the mission tag “Attack of the Terran Armada.”
If your game is bugged, you will not hear the broadcast message from the beacon. If that is the case, then you must get on your spaceship and leave the planet. After travelling some distance, return to the same planet and enter Akila City to fix the bug and start the broadcast message.

A broadcast message from an SSNN beacon will inform us about a new group called the Terran Armada and information about a missing cruise ship. After the broadcast ends, the objective will get updated to “Join the Search Party Orbiting Nirvana 1.”
Another way to deal with this bug is by heading to a new broadcast beacon. You can try the SSNN broadcast beacon at New Atlantis or Athena Towers in the Residential District of Jemison to try your luck.
If the message starts playing, then you will receive an update on the mission. If nothing comes out of the beacon, then it’s time to either leave the planet or get to a different beacon for the message play.
Terran Armada is an expansion pack that was announced by Bethesda to coincide with the PS5 launch for what was, before that, a PC/Xbox exclusive. This caps a series of changes, improvements and new features to Starfield over the year and a half since it first debuted.
