Since it’s a craft-oriented game, you should focus on collecting as many resources as you can. However, you also need special tricks to make the best out of your resources in Nightingale.
1. Pay Attention to Puck
Puck is your guide who will spawn more at the beginning of Nightingale. If you pay attention to his instructions, you will understand the mechanics of the gameplay much better.
2. Basics of Realm Creation
To create a realm in Nightingale, you can find or craft a Realm Card machine. After this, all you need to do is deploy two cards- Biome Card and Major Card.
The Biome Card is indicative of the location you want to spawn, whereas the Major Card is the determiner of level difficulty. You can explore new worlds by combining different cards. While initially you can combine only two cards, more card types will be unlocked later in the game.
In addition to this, you can adjust the difficulty of the quest by toggling the options in the bottom left of the screen. There is also an option to make your Realm Public, and this will allow your friends to join your expedition.
Lastly, you also get an option to Reset Realm which will change the quest rewards altogether.
3. Use Minor Cards
While Minor Cards come with a flipside, they are worth harvesting and using at the beginning of the game. Depending on what minor cards you have in the inventory, you can transform the look of your realm and gain special bonuses.
4. Get Your Hands on Essence Dust
Essence dust is the basic unit of crafting and repairing in Nightingale and also acts as an in-game currency. At the beginning of the game, it is recommended to collect a lot of Common Essence Dust for these basic tasks.
5. Break the Chests
After retrieving rewards from treasure chests, go ahead and smash it with a weapon of your choice. This will provide you with special items such as Gilded Lumber way early in the game.

6. Create Rock Marbles
You can collect crude rocks at the mountainside, ocean banks, and pretty much anywhere in the game. This can be done by clicking on the pebbles. Once you are satisfied with the number of crude rocks you have, head to the nearest workbench. Now you will be able to craft rock marbles out of these crude rocks.
Now, you can extract these rock marbles into essence dust. While you can directly extract essence dust from crude rocks, the amount will be much lower than what you can get from rock marbles.
7. Pick Up Items by Long-pressing
While farming in Nightingale, you will come across lots of items. When it’s time to collect them, you don’t need to pick them up one by one. You can hold the pick-up button and everything will go to your inventory.
8. Build Campfire Near Crafting Stations
For shelter bonus and other benefits, you want to place your campfire near crafting stations. The benefit will also be reflected in your Tanning Station, decreasing the crafting time.

9. Tips for Nighttime
You can line up all the gear and materials to craft before you decide to take a long rest. This will save you a lot of time and hassle. If you don’t want to sleep and decide to explore realms during nighttime, make sure you have crafted a Makeshift Torch to carry with you.

Umbrella is more than just a random item in Nightingale. You can use it to jump off from high areas in the game. However, you should practice freefalling in safer areas first. You also need to have an ample amount of stamina to use the umbrella.

You should retain a high stamina and health bonus from the very beginning of the game. This can be done by mixing plants and creating salads with ingredients like Water Spinach, Mushrooms, and Berries.

13. Recruit an NPC
