In Zombies Reckoning, tracking down every folder and cracking the Computer Code Puzzle is one of those tasks that feels simple at first, until you realize the game randomizes the spawns. There are only four folders in any match, but they can appear in any of eight possible spots across T1 and T2 zones.
The trick isn’t just finding them, it’s also paying attention to that tiny number in the top-left corner of each file, because it’s key to unlocking the code later. With that, here are all the folder locations and the computer code puzzle solution in Zombies Reckoning.
All Folder Locations in Zombies Reckoning

The folders are spread across three key zones: T1 Executive Suite, T1 Director’s Office, and T2 Teleportation Lab. The T1 spots are tied to the main storyline as you hunt for Richtofen’s Office. The T2 Lab, on the other hand, only becomes accessible if you’ve gone through the Fowler Mangler’s Mutant Injection step, which opens the path to the T2 Dark Entity Containment area.
Only four folders will spawn in a single game, so you won’t find all eight spots in one go. Every time you grab one, hit the interact button to pull up the file details, you’ll need them later. Here are following locations:
T1 Executive Suite
- One can be sitting on a white desk right outside the main entrance to the Director’s Office, next to a computer.
- Another one will appear in the bar room on the lower floor look for a long brown table to the left when entering the suite from the Personnel Launcher.
- In the same bar room, a small round table with a fallen lamp can also be a spawn point.
T1 Director’s Office
- The Director’s desk is a hotspot, with a folder often right beside the computer used to trigger the teleporter to Sublevel 10.
- In the next room over, there’s a table under a wall-mounted TV, beside a lamp, this spot shows up in more than one spawn list.
- Just to the left of that table, there’s a darker corner with a pile of books where a folder can rest.
T2 Teleportation Lab
- This one’s straightforward, if you check the console directly facing the teleporter that leads into the T2 Dark Entity Containment.

Cracking the Computer Code Puzzle in Zombies Reckoning
Once you’ve got all four folders in your current run, open them and look closely. The first line in the file shows the password number, while the second line is the archive date. These two pieces of info are how you figure out the code.
Here’s how it works: list all your collected numbers, then arrange them in date order from the earliest month/day/year to the latest. The numbers stay the same, only their position changes based on the date. January comes first, December last. For example, if your files say:
- “6” archived on 6/28/1985
- “1” archived on 7/15/1985
- “5” archived on 10/12/1985
- “2” archived on 12/8/1985
You’d put the numbers in date order (June, July, October, December) giving you 6152. That’s the password you punch into the terminal in the T2 Teleportation Lab.
All Artifact Password Numbers and Dates
- BND Badge – 6 – 6/28/1985
- Notso’s Collar – 1 – 7/15/1985
- Scarf – 3 – 8/21/1985
- Wristwatch – 4 – 9/2/1985
- Combat Goggles – 5 – 10/12/1985
- Katana – 2 – 12/8/1985
Knowing every possible number-date combo means you can work out the code without guessing. This is even if the spawn locations change in Zombies Reckoning.
