Our recommendations
Don’t worry, you’re not alone in your struggle to find something worth watching before your food gets cold. So, to take some weight off your shoulders, here are the titles worth your time:
Hannah Gadsby: Something Special – Netflix
In their much-anticipated third comedy special with Netflix, Hannah Gadsby discusses a previously unexplored and fairly new element of their life – marriage. Talking to Them about why Hannah felt that their fans deserved a “feel-good show”, the comic said:
“Well, all my shows reflect where I am in the world at the time of writing and performing. And I love my fans. They don’t bother me too much, which I like. Being autistic, I’m not great on social media. But when I come to the shows, I feel a real rapport with my audience, and that [rapport] was built through Nanette. Nanette was a lot for a lot of people — and for reasons I don’t necessarily understand — and I wanted to show that their investments in me have had a positive effect on my life, which they have in a sense.”
They continued:
“I threw Nanette out there. I thought it was a grenade that was going to destroy my career in a way, and I didn’t really care. But people were like, ‘No, no, no. This is good.’ They’ve had a positive effect, and I wanted to show that.”
Queer Eye Season 7 – Netflix
After queering their way through Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Texas, Japan, and the town of Wales in the show’s previous seasons and specials, the Fab Five have now touched base in New Orleans.
Fear the Walking Dead Season 8 – AMC
The first of two six-episode parts of the show’s final season, Fear the Walking Dead S8 will feature a seven-year time jump. Per the trailer, it will explore strange zombie experiments, Morgan Jones’ rescue from PADRE and the resulting clash, as well as the death of his son Duane.
