The developer of Spiritfarer announced the closed beta for its next title at the Triple-I Initiative showcase today. Called 33 Immortals, the upcoming 33-player co-op game by Thunder Lotus will begin closed beta testing on May 24.
Interested players can enroll into the closed beta on the official 33 Immortals website. All participants will get access to an exclusive skin once the early access launches later this year on the latest Xbox consoles and PC. The closed beta is scheduled to end on June 2.
This news is a big deal for indie enthusiasts who have been awaiting the MMO game since its announcement last year. So far, the game looks to be on track for the promised release window. The alpha test reportedly helped the developers make “tremendous progress”. With the closed beta, testers will get access to a variety of new enemies and locations.
The biggest pull of 33 Immortals is the co-op team size. 33 players will be able to join a raid together, which will last for about 25 minutes. There will be seven different characters to choose from, and together the players will aim to beat massive bosses and survive various monsters in a roguelike format.
