According to podcaster Colin Moriarty, there will be another PS Showcase in 2023.
In his recent podcast Iron Lords, Colin spoke about games that were absent from the showcase on May 24. He claimed to have heard from some credible sources about another showcase this year that will feature games we have been hearing rumors about for quite some time. The streamer anticipates that this upcoming PS Showcase will shed light on some of the future titles, ones that may be slated for release in 2024.
This information is not surprising, as we did not get to see a lot of games we know are coming soon but didn’t make a debut in last showcase – like Ghost of Tsushima 2, The Last of Us Factions, Silent Hill 2 remake, and Disney Domination.
Colin claimed,
“I’ve heard from people that I know and I think it’s fairly obvious that there will be another PlayStation Showcase later in the year. I assume it will be more focused on some of these games that are rattling around.”
This news is further confirmed by Ethan Gach of Kotaku, who claims that both Sony and Nintendo will host a digital showcase this year, marking the first year in history with two separate Nintendo and PS showcases.
Even with the reveal of Spider-Man 2 gameplay, first look of Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, and announcements for Alan Wake 2 and Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a lot of people were disappointed with the recent PS Showcase.
What games do you think will make an appearance in the second PS Showcase of 2023? Do you think we might get a gameplay trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta or Silent Hill remakes? Let us know in the comments.
Sources are telling me both PlayStation AND Nintendo will have additional digital showcases this year.
