EA Sport’s famous FIFA title will be launched under a new name this year. Titled EA Sports FC 24, this game will be released on September 29, according to famous leaker Billbil-kun. And if the data miner is to be believed, the FC 24 cover will not feature Mbappe this year.
The last two games in the FIFA series, FIFA 22 and FIFA 23, were launched on the last Friday in September of 2022 and 2023 respectively. This points to the high possibility of EA Sports following the same suit for this year’s edition of EA’s football game.

Ending a 30-year partnership between EA Sports and FIFA, the upcoming FC 24 is set to be the first title in EA’s FC series. While the name has changed, reports say that this will essentially be the same game as the rest of the FIFA series. Furthermore, EA has announced that they will reveal the complete details of the upcoming title in July, further confirming the strong possibility of the game’s release in September. According to Billbil-kun, EA will officially announce the game on July 13.
EA’s FC 24 cover might feature Erling Haaland
The striker for Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappe has been the cover star for the past three installments of EA Sports’ FIFA games. Last year, he graced the cover of FIFA 23 alongside Chelsea Women’s team striker, Sam Kerr. However, according to Billbil-kun, this year EA Sports will be benching the PSG star and feature the recent Champions League winner and star of the Manchester City team, Erling Haaland.
According to Billbil-kun, the standard edition of the FC 24 will feature Haaland with his arms open, about to take a shot. The Ultimate edition of the game will feature him standing in a group alongside 30 of the leading male and female footballers of the day.
FC 24 editions and prices
Billbil-kun has also shared his predictions regarding the editions and prices for the upcoming title. According to him, the Standard edition for PC will cost around $69.99, while the Ultimate edition will be priced at $99.99.
As for the console editions, he predicts that for old-gen console versions, i.e., PS4 and Xbox One, the Standard edition will set players back $59.99. The same edition for the current-gen consoles, i.e., PS5 and Xbox Series S|X will cost $10 more at $69.99. Furthermore, he also predicts that there will be a digital cross-gen version of the Ultimate edition for the consoles, priced at $109.99.
FC 24 will feature several same game modes as FIFA 23
Not many features and content from FC 24 have been revealed yet. However, considering that it’s essentially the same game as the rest of the FIFA series, we believe some features from FIFA 23 are bound to make an appearance in this year’s version too. To that end, popular game modes, such as Online Career Mode, Ultimate Team Mode, and Pro Clubs Mode, are expected to be a part of EA Sport’s FC 24.
Even though the FIFA-EA Sports partnership has come to an end last year, thanks to the continued partnership of EA with FIFPRO, FC 24 will also feature in-game characters that have the exact likeness of some of the current generation’s professional football players. The official website for the game is already adorned with logos of several official competitions and leagues, including the Premier League, La Liga Santander, UEFA Champions League, and Bundesliga. NSWL and UEFA Women’s Champions League are also present on the roaster. This clearly means that just because the name has changed, it doesn’t mean that the upcoming title will feature any less licensed content.
