EA Sports released a new F1 24 trailer today, introducing some new features along with the reigning Formula 1 world champion himself.
According to the official EA blog, Max Verstappen was closely involved in the development of F1 24, especially on a new feature called EA Sports Dynamic Handling. The developers worked with Verstappen to make the cars perform more realistically on racing wheels and gamepads.
Senior Creative Director of the game, Lee Mather said,
“The new handling model, powered by EA SPORTS Dynamic Handling will enable players to get maximum performance from their car, with authentic physics giving them the confidence in racing wheel to wheel with their rivals.”
This year’s F1 game will offer new engine and car setup options along with an upgraded tyre model, new suspension kinematics, and more. Tracks in the game have also been tweaked and upgraded to more accurately reflect the respective real-world circuits.
To add to the authenticity and immersion, the F1 24 team has also included real driver audio snippets from F1 broadcasts that will reportedly play during on-track incidents. Players can expect to hear their favorite champions react to their race day shenanigans, and there are new cutscenes and presentation graphics to complete the package.
F1 24 launches on May 31 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
