Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth developers are currently hosting Q&A sessions through the official twitter account. They are inviting fans to ask questions and answering one question every day.
This process began on June 2 and fans are overjoyed to learn that if this continues for a week, the 7th session would take place on the same day as the beginning of the Summer Game Fest.
Today, June 2, we got "Developer comment number 1". If we get a comment everyday, developer comment number 7 will be on June 8! Summer Game Fest! 👀

A trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth might be featured in Summer Game Fest
This prediction was first made by a Japanese gaming insider, Genki, and a lot of people are supporting the idea. According to the first post in the series of tweets, the developers are pretty confident that the game will release right on time. They also disclosed that the development of the title is going smoothly. Square Enix is expected to capitalize on this momentum, and we might get a trailer and a release date for the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. According to rumors, the game is expected to release in winter of 2023.

In the second session, the developers answered a fan’s question about the world outside of Midgar. According to them, players will be able to explore the massive world outside of the crowded city with a “high degree of freedom”. The question was answered by the director of the game, Naoki Hamaguchi, who also indicated that there would be a high number of additional storylines and missions playable in the installment.

However, it’s imperative to note that this might not be true, considering Square Enix is already gearing up for the release of Final Fantasy 16 on June 22. The developer would most likely be focusing the marketing efforts on FF16 during the game fest, especially since the pre-orders for that title are reported to be considerably low.
