Minecraft Live is returning this October 15, bringing along rumors about what is going to be added in the upcoming Minecraft update. One such rumor is from a Minecraft Insider, godsunit, who has recently made a post on X (formerly Twitter) mentioning that the leaks will start dropping tomorrow.
The insider said, “The leaks start tomorrow, first being a new hostile mob?”, clearly hinting that we may see a new hostile mob being added to the game. Not only this, godsunit also changed the banner on their X profile hinting about two new additions.
On the left-hand side of the banner, we see a dispenser on top of a crafting table, possibly referring to the previously leaked automated crafting feature. On the other hand, we see a dispenser above a mob spawner in an area filled with tuff and copper blocks. Just going by the image, it is unclear whether this tease is simply about the previously discussed hostile mob itself or a new type of mob spawner. Although to further solidify the latter, we have some more information, albeit less credible.
We recommend you take this with a pinch of salt. A post (now deleted, but a screenshot found from another Reddit post is embedded below) was made on Minecraft’s subreddit which mentioned the following things:
- A new structure for combat using two new block types.
- Automated crafting feature with a UI.
- An overworld hostile mob that shoots wind at you, akin to a Blaze.
- A new spawner that works on the basis of “certain” things. It also spits out loot when you win. (Hint: a dispenser is present in the other leak as well)
Now, these leaks not only provide us with some more context but also line up with the other information provided by other leakers, making the whole speculation fairly credible to some extent.
Auto-Crafting Feature In the New Minecraft Update
Earlier in August, rumors about the long-discussed autocrafting feature surfaced from a Minecraft leaker, DanGeony. The leaker heavily implied that they were the same person as another leaker or an alleged Mojang employee, Roger Badgerman, who was taken down after accurately leaking several major features from the game’s 1.20 update.
This time DanGeony posted an image in which we see a hopper feeding into a crafting table, which is attached to redstone dust. Given the previous leaker’s track record, and the commonality between the two, there is a fair chance that the rumor is correct and the automated crafting feature is finally coming to Minecraft.
There’s not a long wait till we get to know everything about the new update as Minecraft Live 2023 is all set to be featured on October 15. Also, don’t forget to vote as the Mob Vote 2023 is returning this year!
