Fans of the Jurassic Park series can be happy because Saber Interactive, working with Universal, shared information about their new game Jurassic Park: Survival. The game is for one player and is about what happens after the 1993 movie. It follows Dr. Maya Joshi, a scientist stuck on Isla Nublar after the park’s big problem.
According to the interview with IGN, Players take the role of Dr. Joshi, who has to explore a dangerous island and escape its ancient residents. As the name implies, surviving on the island will be challenging, trying to outsmart the clever dinosaurs.
Perhaps the most exciting thing for people who love dinosaurs is that the game will have new ancient creatures. We don’t know much about these new creatures yet, but the game makers hinted that they would be included with an allusion to the phrase “Life finds a way.”
While they wouldn’t talk about the specific game rules yet, the developers said that players will see some places they know from the movie and brand-new spots. Also, the people making the game mentioned that the environment might change because of things happening in the movie, which makes these familiar places even more interesting.
“The island is full of different types of terrain, many of them quite challenging. The player will need to use caution and planning in some cases, checking routes in advance. There will also be times when the player will need to move very carefully through an environment to avoid the attention of certain predators. Maya, the main character, is neither superhuman nor an action hero. There are real risks for her around every corner and the player will need to use a mixture of intelligence, grit and patience to survive the island’s many challenges.”

There wasn’t much revealed in the interview, but at least we know the game is still in development and hasn’t been canceled, like so many other games. We’ll have to keep an eye out for more information about the game from the developers as time goes on.
