The PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is supposedly slated for launch in the financial year 2025, which means sometime between April 2024 and March 2025. This information comes from a massive Insomniac leak by the Rhysida ransomware group.
Discovered by ResetEra user Aquamarine, one of the company documents has an allocated budget list for upcoming PC ports of Insomniac’s PlayStation titles. These include Spider-Man 2, Wolverine, and Spider-Man 3—all three titles following a similar gap of two years between their PlayStation and PC releases.
The budget allocated for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC port stands at $4.6 million spread over FY23 and FY24. In comparison, PC ports of Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales had development budgets of $2.3 million and $1.5 million respectively.
However, I haven’t yet been able to find whether Insomniac is porting Spider-Man 2 themselves, or Nixxes is doing it as they did with the first two Spidey games or Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Whatever the case, PC gamers can rest easy as all Insomniac games will hit their platform, albeit with a two-year delay after their PS launch.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was released on the PS5 on October 20, 2023. It has since received universal acclaim.
