A recent turn of events suggests developer Mojang might soon release Minecraft for Xbox Series S|X. This revelation comes to us in the form of a leak, which shows Minecraft has been rated in Germany for the Xbox series by USK, the authority responsible for rating video games in the country.
Minecraft is one of the most popular games of all time. But even with an enormous fan base, the game still lacks the current-gen upgrades, which has confused fans across the world. While the PC version of Minecraft enjoys various updates that make the gameplay experience more enhanced, there isn’t a native version of Minecraft for Xbox.
Both Microsoft and Mojang have previously stated that upgrading the game for current-gen Xbox consoles might be ‘too difficult’. However, in light of the new leak, we could assume that they are making some progress.

Could this mean ray tracing will be finally available for the Xbox version of Minecraft?
For the longest time, Minecraft players on Xbox Series consoles have been waiting for a native upgrade that can enable them to enjoy the game with higher resolutions, enhanced frame rates, and support for advanced features, such as ray tracing. Minecraft creator Mojang and publisher Microsoft Game Studios remained silent on the matter.
However, since USK has already rated the Minecraft for Xbox Series consoles (offering age 6 & above rating), an official announcement may very well be on its way. This rating could mean that the game is almost developed and the publisher is waiting for official ratings from other countries. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that players can expect a release soon.
Fans across the world have been patiently waiting for a native Xbox version of Minecraft. While PC players can enjoy best-in-class features and graphics as well as various mods that have graced the title, console players are desperately waiting for an upgrade that can let them play the game at highest native resolution and frame rate i.e., 4K & 60 FPS.
