According to leaker Dusk Golem, we will soon get to see the trailers for much-awaited Silent Hill games. He says that a trailer release could happen for either Silent Hill 2 Remake, SH Townfall, or SH Ascension before the Summer Game Festival.
When prodded further by fans, Dusk Golem said that we might get one of the trailers this month. However, he claims that he doesn’t know the exact date Konami has in mind for revealing these trailers. The popular gaming leakster claims to have seen the trailers but has apparently promised Konami that he won’t speak about them.
Without spoiling anything, Dusk Golem has lauded the graphical quality of these trailers. He also stated that Sony had featured Silent Hill Townfall in their fiscal year report, which confirms that the title is coming to PS5 in the coming year. The leakster also praised the art direction of Silent Hill 2 Remake. Without giving anything specific away, he has certainly managed to pique the interest of the gaming community. He also talked about some specific aspects of these trailers, claiming,
“Ascension looks great graphically”
He also hinted at this game coming to PC via Steam, which comes as a relief after innumerable rumors of Sony-Konami exclusivity deal for these titles.
Konami is going to make a big splash this year, with Silent Hill games and Metal Gear Solid Delta/ Metal Gear Solid Collection launching this year. There is still no official news about the release windows for Silent Hill games, but there are strong chances that Summer Game Fest in June will feature at least one of these trailers.
Sony had previously released a short announcement trailer for SH2 remake for PS5, when there were talks of Sony Konami exclusivity deal. However, after revealing that Metal Gear Solid Delta will not be a PS exclusive, there is hope that these new Silent Hill games will also make their way to PC and Xbox.
