Nintendo has announced that Everybody 1-2-Switch! will be releasing on June 30, 2023. It’s predecessor, 1-2-Switch, was launched in 2017 as a launch title for Nintendo’s Switch console.
The pre-orders for the new game are open through Nintendo eShop, and the title is priced at $29.99. For the sequel, Nintendo has added a new feature which will allow players to use Joy-cons as well as their smartphones or tablets to play the title. Alike its predecessor, Everybody 1-2-Switch! will be a multiplayer party game, in which the players can play multiple minigames by breaking into teams or competing one-on-one.
Everybody 1-2 Switch! will offer more of the same
According to Nintendo, Everybody 1-2-Switch! will feature lots of new, exciting minigames and will offer everything from balloons to aliens. The key to winning this game will be teaming up with your friends and trying to win the maximum number of minigames from the catalogue before the other team. Some of the popular games from the 1-2-Switch will also make an appearance, however, their rules will be changed and variations will be made in order to offer additional challenge for returning players.
Nintendo hasn’t revealed any other details as to what new games might be coming to the title or which previous ones might be returning. 1-2-Switch had failed to make an impact, with many critics considering the title not something worth buying, but something that should be included as a starter bundled with the console. The sequel, Everybody 1-2-Switch!, was in discussion for a long time, with development finally beginning in 2022.
However, the initial playtests were disheartening and Nintendo as well as the developer Fanbyte decided to give it more time. Along with this game, Nintendo has also posted that it will start accepting pre-orders for new sets of joy-cons. The new pastel collection of upcoming joy-cons includes colors like pastel green, pastel purple, pastel yellow, and pastel pink.
