Fntastic, developer of the upcoming survival horror MMO, The Day Before, has responded to the skepticism surrounding the game.
In its latest post on X, the developer said,
“Please don’t accuse us of scamming; that’s not true. We didn’t take a penny from anyone.”
This statement comes after some gamers in the community alleged that The Day Before was a scam and that Fntastic was overselling it. The negative sentiment amplified over the weeks leading up to the release date, which supposedly forced the developer to issue the statement.
In the post, Fntastic further went on to state that the accusations of asset flipping are not true and that the team worked on the game “day and night for five years”. The developer requested players not to underestimate its work while acknowledging that they might not be doing the best marketing for the title.
The Day Before team also mentioned in the note that they made the game for everyone, including those who don’t support them. Referring to such players, they said,
“We made this game for you, too. We accept any kind of criticism and don’t hold a grudge against you.”
Fntastic also thanked its supporters and wished future streamers success.
The Day Before will get an Early Access release for PC on December 7.
