Unsurprisingly, Baldur’s Gate 3, this year’s GOTY award winner at The Game Awards, is also leading the race in the PS Blog awards 2023. Baldur’s Gate 3 has received over 12 nominations in different categories, including various nominations for Best New Character, PS5 Game of the Year, Best Multiplayer Experience, Best Soundtrack of the Year, and Best Art Direction.
Street Fighter 6 and Alan Wake 2 have amassed a commendable nine nominations each, followed closely by Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 at eight nominations.
Apart from announcing the categories and nominations, the PS Blog post also outlines the rules and guidelines for this competition. Players have the option to self-submit a nomination for the game they feel is missing from any of the categories.
Furthermore, if any of the nominated (player-nominated) games has won a Platinum trophy in the same category last year, then it won’t be considered for an award this year.
