The developer Sabotage Studios has finally announced the release date for the Sea of Stars physical edition. The disc edition for Sea of Stars for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S|X, PS4 and PS5 is set to release on May 10, 2024.
The developer announced the Sea of Stars physical edition release date through an announcement trailer. According to the trailer, the physical edition of this charming retro-style RPG will include a base game disc and a double sided poster that features art from visual artist Bryce Kho. The pre-orders for the physical edition are currently open and buyers who pre-order the game will receive a digital copy of the game’s soundtrack.
Sea of Stars is an extremely popular retro-themed RPG that depicts the story of two children who combine the powers of sun and moon to fend of various monsters created by evil alchemist called The Fleshmancer. The game won The Game Award for Best Independent Game of 2023 and has amassed an impressive 9/10 rating on Steam and GameSpot.
Inspired by hardcore yet relaxing RPGs of ’90s, Sea of Stars features vibrant pixelated graphics, fantastic combat system, a widely appreciated and mesmerizing soundtrack, and an emotionally rich and engaging narrative.
