Steve Fukuda, the celebrated video game director & designer of the Titanfall series, is focusing on developing a brand-new IP for Respawn Entertainment. While gamers have no idea what this new IP might be, the development has created considerable buzz among the gaming community.
However, this news has also caused widespread discontent amongst the fans of the Titanfall franchise, who are eagerly waiting for Titanfall 3. The Titanfall video game series is a collection of multiplayer first-person shooter games. The first game of the series was launched in 2014, while Titanfall 2 and Titanfall Online made their appearance in 2016. Both games were considered a massive critical success, with praise from hardcore and casual gamers alike.
Titanfall never got the respect it deserves from the gaming community or EA.
Never forget how EA decided to release TF2 in between the releases of Battlefield 1 (also published by EA) and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, effectively killing any chance it had at success. pic.twitter.com/F8l0OhN213

Titanfall director focusing on something new & fun
Currently serving as the creative director of Respawn Entertainment, Steve Fukuda is also famous for his contribution as the lead designer for the immensely popular FPS game series, Call of Duty. According to a recent interview by the director of Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella, Steve is working alongside a very small team to design something entirely new and fun.
Fans of the Titanfall series have constantly speculated about the release of the third installment, waiting for years, digging up the smallest rumors. Gamers have taken this interview as a clear indication that Titanfall 3 may not be happening soon.

Fans demanding the studio focus on Titanfall 3
While the Titanfall series has amassed a considerable fan following over the last decade, it has never quite reached the volumes of other popular FPS games, such as Call of Duty. This has given the fans a reason to suspect that even after considerable critical and commercial success the series received, it might have been still lower than the series publisher, Electronic Arts, expected. Fans of the series have been rallying in Reddit and Twitter threads to ask Respawn Entertainment adamantly for Titanfall 3.
What do you think Respawn’s new project is? Or are you also waiting for the release of Titanfall 3? Leave your guesses and views in the comments.
