Last week, Warhorse Studios teased a “new game reveal”, and most fans guessed it would be the sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The guesses turned out to be accurate, as the developer announced Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 today.
The news arrived in the form of a reveal trailer, and the developer claimed that the sequel would be twice as large as the first game. Daniel Vavra, creative director of the project mentioned in a presentation that the new game is what the team originally intended to make but couldn’t due to the lack of resources.
Vavra said,
“What we are making now is what it was supposed to be in the beginning, but we weren’t able to do it because we didn’t have enough resources and experiences and all that stuff,”
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will continue the story of Henry and Sir Hans Capon. The scale, however, will be much larger this time and “much more epic”. Vavra also revealed that the second installment will have over 5 hours of cutscenes, which hints towards the mammoth scope of the game.
Although the release date isn’t known yet, Warhorse confirmed Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will release in 2024 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
