The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has kept fans waiting in anticipation for quite some time. However, it seems that certain overzealous gamers, Discord users, and Redditors have beaten Nintendo to the punch and leaked some well-guarded aspects of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s artwork and gameplay. Moreover, it’s also speculated that a ROM file of the game has also surfaced on the internet, allowing certain people with the entire game file. This file is said to be available online on several pirate sites, enabling gamers to play the title on their PCs.
The leaked gameplay footage was reportedly streamed on several private Discord servers and a pretty massive Reddit thread (which we wouldn’t recommend if you want to enjoy the game without any spoilers). Courtesy of 4chan, these leaks have made their way everywhere, including image sharing sites such as Imgur.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is set to release on May 12, 2023, and dedicated fans seem to have much trouble keeping themselves ‘spoiler-free.’ A twitter user Pory has also claimed to have found certain vendors selling physical copy of the game – a whopping two weeks prior to its international release. While they have found a way to enjoy this game early, Pory has maintained an angle of informer and refused to drop any spoilers. Many Reddit and discord users are spreading awareness about this leak and urging honest and patient gamers to block certain keywords, such as Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, TOTK, Zelda Tears of Kingdom, in their browsers, as to avoid any unwanted spoilers.
Nintendo, with a longstanding history of intolerance towards leakers, are trying to identify and take legal action against Discord users who have caused this trouble.
