Similar to the Friendship mechanism in Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves has its own Intimacy system where raising the intimacy points of certain characters could unlock more of their lore in the game. But, finding out the best way to gain intimacy points can be a tough ordeal.

How Do I Raise Intimacy In Wuthering Waves?
Intimacy is a mechanism that works similarly to friendship points and can be increased by the following:
- Simulation Training
- Boss Challenges
- Tacet Field Cleanup
- Weekly Challenges
- Forgery Challenges
After defeating enemies in each of these challenges, you will be awarded intimacy points to increase each and every one of the Resonators’ friendships with your character (Rover.) Keep in mind that you need the particular Resonator in your team if you want to increase their Intimacy points.
If you are unsure about which missions give intimacy points, just check the challenges to see if they offer a pink heart–like icon (Intimacy Point icon) as a reward or not. If it does, accept the challenge and defeat the enemies to claim them.

Is There Romance In Wuthering Waves?
No, there is no option to romance any of the Resonators in Wuthering Waves. It is simply a gacha ARPG in which the Intimacy points act as special friendship points between the main character and the resonators to unlock “pleasant surprises.”
The more points you gain towards the characters, the more surprises will be unlocked for you in the game.

Intimacy Rewards In Wuthering Waves
Like other ARPGs in the gaming scene, the Wuthering Waves Intimacy system offers rewards as well. The rewards you can get for increasing Intimacy Points toward the Resonators are:
- New voice lines for the characters
- Unlocked background stories
- Cherished Item of that character
- Special Sigil of that character for changing the background of your Terminal profile icon.
