Lords of the Fallen Hallowed Knight build: Base Stats and Items
The Hallowed Knight is the classic beginner class that provides incredible flexibility for builds while being easy to use and understand in the early game. This class specializes in Endurance and Strength stats which means it hits hard while having ample stamina for it. It also has decent Vitality which gives you a decent amount of max health right out the gate.
Hallowed Knight Base Stats
Stats | Points |
Strength | 12 |
Agility | 8 |
Endurance | 15 |
Vitality | 11 |
Radiance | 9 |
Inferno | 8 |
The stats for Hallowed Knight definitely lean towards a hard-hitting strength playstyle but with an extra point in Radiance, it makes it easy to focus on a Radiance holy magic playstyle later on. Also, the high Endurance stat allows this class to do some long combos early in the game.
The slightly fewer points in Vitality compared to Strength and Endurance are covered up by the starting items like the medium to heavy armor parts, which we will take a look at next.
Hallowed Knight Starting Weapons & Items
Like the class itself, Hallowed Knight starts with decent all-rounder items that make it fairly easy to get through the early game. Let’s take a look at the weapons, armor, and starting items you get when you start with the Lords of the Fallen Hallowed Knight build.
Weapons
- Hallowed Knight Sword
- Hallowed Knight Sheild
- Grenade
Armor
- Hallowed Knight Helm
- Hallowed Knight Gauntlets
- Hallowed Knight Leggings
- Hallowed Knight Armour
Starting Items
- Briostone Pair x3
- Enervated Vigor Skull
- Lampbearer’s Rosary
The weapons are decent for starting weapons but the armor is very good as it is a heavy armor set. This makes it so that even with lower Vitality, you will have a lot of damage mitigation that can protect you and help you survive longer even while making some mistakes in combat.
The Grenade also helps a lot when it comes to mob control while the starting items like Briostone Pair help a lot with early boss fights as it heals you over time.
Best Lords of the Fallen Hallowed Knight Build
Based on the stats the class starts with, this Hallowed Knight build guide for Lords of the Fallen will focus on two possible ways you can go with it:
- Cleric Magic Build
- Medieval Knight Build
The Cleric Build will utilize the bonus Radiance point in the base stats and lean into it to create a Radiance-based magic cleric build.
The Medieval Knight Build will focus on the already present playstyle of the Hallowed Knight and flesh it out into a powerful Strength and Endurance-focused build.
Cleric Magic Build
The Cleric build will focus on making a character that can use Radiance magic to empower your attacks with magic, provide buffs, and even provide some healing.
Here is how you can go about creating this Lords of the Fallen build:
- To use Radiant Magic, you need a minimum of 12 points in the Radiance stat. This is the first stat you should put your points into and get it up to 12 from the base of 9.
- Another thing that you will require to use Radiant Magic is the Radiant Catalyst which works as a weapon in your hand that allows you to cast Radiant spells. This can be acquired from Excater Dunmire NPC in the Safe Hub right after defeating the first boss of the game.
- From the same vendor NPC, you will need to get the Radiant Weapon, Healing Radiance which will allow you to imbue your weapon with Radiant magic and also heal yourself using Radiant magic.
Stats to Prioritize
As you progress, these are the stats you need to focus your points on based on the highest priority first:
- Radiance
- Strength
- Endurance
Radiance and Strength are possibly the most important for this build as you will be using items that exclusively scale with Radiance and or both Radiance and strength. Endurance will help you keep enough stamina for all your attacks and spells.
Weapons and Items to Get
The Cleric build favors weapons that scale well with Radiance. As you progress through the game, you need to look out for these weapons and items below:
- Devotions Might: Strong Radiance scaling Hammer, This item can be found in the bell area which will require the Pilgrim’s Perch Key to enter.
- Ebonlight, Abiding Defender Sword: Particularly useful if you decided to prioritize Strength as it scales with both Radiance and Strength. Can be acquired after defeating the same boss that gives you the Divine Swords spell.
- Putrid Child Sword: A short sword that scales with Radiance, Inferno, and Strength. Can be found in an Umbral location in the flooded village near the castle in Fief.
- Crimson Rector Shield: Decent shield for Radiance-based builds like this one. Can be found early in Sanctuary at Pilgrim’s Perch.
- Aura of Tenacity Spell: A Radiance spell that surrounds you with a Radiant aura that mitigates damage from all sources. This can be found on Skyrest Bridge near Eustance, break the breakable objects to find it.
- Sanctify Spell: A great healing spell especially if you play co-op as it will also heal your teammate. Can be found in a chest after defeating Pieta, She of the Blessed Renewal.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: High survivability by avoiding melee combat when possible and also due to having multiple healing sources. Can provide support to teammates. Ranged damage capability through Radiant spells.
- Cons: Somewhat weak in defense, there is not much room for mistakes if you get hit. Can be weak when enemies are resistant to Radiant Magic. Close-range melee combat can feel slightly weak based on how you approach this build.
Medieval Knight Build
The Medieval Knight build will focus on the classic Sword & Shield Knight type build that the Hallowed Knight class already starts as. Buffing the already present skills and playstyle through this build will provide you with a hard-hitting build with a strong defense as well.
This build won’t require any special attention to how you approach the early game as you already start with the items and stats required for the early game so let’s move on to the stats you should focus on and the weapons and items you need to look out for.
Stats to Prioritize
As you progress, these are the stats you need to focus your points on based on the highest priority first:
- Strength
- Vitality
- Endurance
You need a lot of Strength not just for the attacks but to be able to defend using shields. Vitality will also help you stay alive even after getting hit a lot while Endurance is key for having enough stamina to attack and block attacks.
Weapons and Items to Get
For this Lords of the Fallen build, you will need to focus on getting weapons that scale well with Strength, preferably only with Strength. You also should focus on one-handed weapons allowing you to use a shield along with your weapon.
You should also equip heavy armor as your high Strength stat will allow you to equip them. Here are the items of interest for this build that you can find as you progress:
- Most one-handed Strength weapons: If you find a one-handed weapon that scales with strength, it is viable for this build so look out for them
- Fitzroy Armor: A decent heavy armor set. Can be found in one of the Ruined Towers.
- Sovereign Protector: Yet another great heavy armor set for the Strength-based builds. Can be found inside a chest in the Mines at the end of the Calrath City area, check the tunnels near the flooded area.
- Cursed Set: a great heavy armor set. Found in the Mase area in a secret path from the Umbral dimension.
- Shield of Bones: This shield works well with this Strength-based build. It can be found in the Mines below Calrath City.
- Faithful Bludgeon: the only hammer in the game that exclusively scales with Strength and nothing else. It can be found in an area in Sanctuary at Pilgrim’s Perch.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: High defensive capabilities. The shield will work great for blocking and parrying attacks, keeping you alive and giving you more chances despite making mistakes. Hard-hitting attacks as well.
- Cons: Slower class. Cannot use most magic items. Also cannot provide much support to teammates. Lacks in ranged damage.
