Embedded with colorful lights and eye-catching signs, the city of Neon in Starfield is an amalgamated wonderland for all things illegal. Dubbed as the pleasure city, you will find some major Bladerunner vibes from this city. It offers everything from designer stores and nightclubs to illegal traders.
It is a tourist destination for Starfield NPCs and the only place where you can legally purchase the drug, Aurora. According to the lore, Xenofresh Corporation came across a fish containing psychotropic properties while constructing a fishing company in Neon. They decided to capitalize on the business making them the only company to sell Aurora.

How To Find Neon In Starfield?
The city of Neon can be found on the Volii Alpha planet, located in the Volii Star System. The easiest way to get to Neon from Alpha Centauri is to grav jump over to Olympus and then make another jump towards the Volii Star System. But you don’t have to worry about that, you have upgraded your ship with better parts to make longer grav jumps.
The “All That Money Can Buy” mission will take you directly to Neon when Starfield’s main storyline progresses that far, but you do not have to wait for the main mission to do explorations on your own.
You can access Neon immediately after you join the Constellations in New Atlantis.
Starfield Neon Areas
Neon has a total of three explorable areas:
- Core
- Ebbside
- Underside
The Core
Home to Ryujin Industries, Trade Authority, and different shops in Neon, the Core acts as the central hub of the city. You will be able to accept faction quests inside the Ryujin Industries building.
The Ebbside
The Ebbside in Neon is riddled with gang violence and shady people looking for a fight. You will have to go through this area for several Neon City missions, so might as well explore and find out some secrets hidden in that area.
The Underside
You will find Xenofresh employees working in the Underside of Neon City. This area will be mostly inaccessible unless a certain mission allows you to explore it.
