Miners are among the most important citizens in any playthrough of Pioneers of Pagonia. You need them to get the stone to make most buildings, but they’re useless when hungry. If you need help feeding miners, then look at our guide below.
What Do Miners Eat in Pioneers of Pagonia?
You can feed your miners two types of meals:
- Prepared rations
- Fresh cooked nutrition meals of the tavern.
To prepare them, you’ll need a market next to a fountain or a Provisioner. Make sure to build at least one of these as soon as possible. These can cause a fail game state if you are not careful.
If you do not have the stone for either and have hungry miners, we suggest looking below because you are likely in a game-over state.

Can I Feed Miners Without Stone?
If you run out of stone, then you’ve lost the ability to feed your miners, and it’s game over. It is an issue talked about on the community page on Steam and is likely why you searched this up. You need stone to build a lot of the buildings, so you have to decide what to use carefully.
If you are in this position, I’m sorry to say you have to start over. Our advice is just to start over and focus on making sure you always have food for your miners because stone is an incredibly valuable resource.
You start the game with a ship full of supplies, so it seems improbable at first, but you wouldn’t be the first person to end up in a failed state. Try again and keep your eye on your stone, but this is more of a learning experience that you have to keep in mind.
