Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is packed with ways to customize Snake, giving you a ton of different camouflage outfits and face paints to mess with. We’re talking 61 unique camo patterns and 25 face paints to collect, and a lot of them are rewards you get after you beat the game or by completing special challenges.
You should know that the DLC and Digital Deluxe Edition camos and face paints aren’t needed to get the “A Snake Has Many Skins” trophy/achievement. The same goes for the Stealth and AT-Camo, even though they’re tied to other achievements. All the camos and face paints you find carry over to your next New Game+ playthroughs, which is awesome because it really encourages you to hunt down every single one.
All Camos and Face Paint in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
A lot of these cool items are earned by taking down bosses non-lethally, and they give you some really useful strategic advantages along with a unique look. For example, if you beat Ocelot without killing him, you get the “Animals” camo. Doing the same to The Pain gets you the “Hornet Stripe” camo. The “Spider” camo is a reward for a non-lethal win against The Fear, and you get the “Fire” camo for taking down The Fury without using lethal force.

Choosing “I like MGS 2” gives you the “Desert Tiger” camo, and “I like MGS 3” unlocks the “Flecktarn” camo. If you pick “I like MGS 4,” you get the “Brown” and “Green” face paints, while “I like MGS: Peace Walker” provides the “Banana” camo. These outfits would be great for the ladder scene.
What Camos Are Only Available as DLC in MGS Delta?

In Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, there are some special camouflage patterns that you can only get by buying the Digital Deluxe Edition. These are different from the camos you find during the game, through the story, or by getting post-game rewards. These DLC-exclusive outfits give you a few extra ways to customize Snake if you decide to go for the premium version.
One of these exclusive DLC camos is the “Battle Dress (PW ver.)” uniform, which has a cool look that calls back to previous games. There’s also the “Sneaking Suit (PW ver.)” which is another classic-looking outfit that gives Snake a different tactical appearance you can’t get in the base game. And for something a little more fun and out there, the “Crocodile Suit” is also part of the collection. Here’s the full list:
- Battle Dress (PW ver.)
- Sneaking Suit (PW ver.)
- Crocodile Suit
- Naked (Woodland)
- Naked (Ammunition Belt)
- Gold
- White Tuxedo
With this, you can literally disguise yourself as a crocodile, which definitely changes how you’ll look while sneaking through the jungle. Konami is using this game to train the next Kojima, so it had a lot on its plate, but still made great outfits.
Besides the full outfits, the DLC also has some variations of the “Naked” camo. You get “Naked (Woodland)” and “Naked (Ammunition Belt),” which give Snake a few different stripped-down looks. Each has some unique details that set them apart from the standard “Naked” option in the game, so they’re great if you like a more minimalist look.
Another standout is the “Gold” camo, which is also only for Digital Deluxe Edition owners. This one is super flashy and lets Snake stand out with a luxurious shine, which is a huge contrast to all the practical camos you’ll normally use. To go with these outfits, the DLC also includes cosmetic accessories like “Glasses” and “Sunglasses” for customizing his face, plus the “Kerotan Mask” and “GA-KO Mask” which add some fun, thematic elements to his look.
It’s worth mentioning that these DLC items are only for looks. You don’t need them to get the “A Snake Has Many Skins” trophy or achievement in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, since that one is just for collecting the camos and face paints found in the main game. This is good to know because it means these extra items are just for adding some visual variety and giving a few more options to the players who buy the Digital Deluxe Edition.
