However, the Medal grind to unlock this is truly worth it because it’s now one of the best weapons after the buff patch. It is now even better than the other explosive primary weapon from the same Warbond called the R-36 Eruptor in every single stat except the medium armor penetration advantage the Eruptor has.

How To Effectively Use The CB-9 Exploding Crossbow In Helldivers 2
The CB-9 Exploding Crossbow used to be a sub-par weapon but has now made its way into the top list. This is because it can now be used as a versatile weapon capable of taking out some of the heavier enemies like Devastators and Stalkers while also having a crowd control ability with its bigger AoE explosion. But, because of this, you will also need to be careful when shooting enemies at close range as you can accidentally kill yourself with its explosion.
Medium armor penetration is not present on this weapon so you will have to be precise with your shots and aim for the vulnerable weak points on some of the heavily armored enemies. The CB-9 Exploding Crossbow in Helldivers 2 is best used against Automaton forces but it can also be very viable against Terminds if you choose a close-range/crowd control stratagem support weapon in your loadout.
