Survival is a tough task for Manor Lords, especially in the beginning. Not having a berry deposit close enough can make players restart the game. On top of that, berries don’t last through winter, and the animals drop in number as the number of families in your settlement grows.
But what if there was another easy way to get food and add variety to your marketplace in the early game without relying on Berries and Animals? To do that, you need to learn how to grow Vegetables in Manor Lords.
How to Farm and Grow Vegetables in Manor Lords
To grow Vegetables in Manor Lords, you will need to build the Vegetable Garden backyard extension on any Burgage Plot that supports an extension. The families living in it will work their assigned jobs and farm and grow vegetables in their free time.
If you are planning to sell Vegetables as one of your main food items in the marketplace, make sure you put down the Vegetable Garden extension on multiple different Burgage Plots, which will ensure the demand is being met.

This is a great way to start farming early game without actually putting down Fields and going through the real process of farming which is far more complicated. These extensions are completely automated and handled by the families instead and you just have to wait to get the yield.
Vegetables can also be a good item to export for some Regional Wealth once you put down a Trading Post. However, this means that you will lose Vegatbles as a potential food item in your markets unless you can produce enough for both trading and your settlement’s hunger needs.
