In this survival RPG, you need to protect the seed of Yggdrasil, gather your Viking army, protect your village from dark forces, and survive the night attacks. While such tasks can be easily dealt with if you get to play with your friends, the lack of crossplay could be a huge hindrance in co-op.
Does Tribes of Midgard Have Crossplay?
Unfortunately, Tribes of Midgard does not have crossplay (cross-platform play) across all platforms. However, it supports cross-gen play and players from two selective platforms are able to join others’ lobbies.
Cross-gen play allows PC players to connect with Xbox players, while PS4 gamers have to connect with other PS5 gamers to play the game together. Since Tribes of Midgard supports up to 10 players in a lobby, you can host a big group of friends and enjoy the game with them as long as the above conditions are met.
PC players purchasing the game from Steam or Epic Games Store also have the luxury of playing together via partial crossplay. However, crossplay is not available for Tribes of Midgard on the Nintendo Switch handheld.
