Lies of P follows in the footsteps of one of the greatest RPG series, the Soulsborne games from FromSoftware. Similar to how stats affected certain areas of your gameplay and character as a whole in the Souls games, it works mostly the same here. This is why you need to know the Lies of P best stats to level up, so you can always be on top of your game.
It is crucial to know which stats affect what, as putting points in stats that aren’t actually benefiting you can make P rather weak against brutally difficult enemies in Krat. So, let’s look at all of the best stats that you can spend your hard-earned Ergo on to get even more powerful.
Lies of P Best Stats to Level up: A Glossary of All the Stats

Lies of P features 6 different stats that you can spend your Ergo on, to level them up. Leveling a stat will increase the number associated with it; for example, Vigor increases your number of max stamina points along with other resistances, Vitality increases the number of max health points you have, and so on.
Before we get into which stats are the best, let’s take a look at all the stats and their effects to have a better understanding of the Lies of P best stats to level up later on.
- Vitality: This will affect your maximum HP or health points, increase Guard Regain, and increase in resistance against Physical damage and a minor increase in resistance against Fire, Electricity, and Acid-type damage.
- Vigor: This will affect your maximum stamina points and a minor increase in resistance against Physical, Fire, Electricity, and Acid-type damage.
- Capacity: This will affect your maximum carry weight and also your Legion Arm weight limit, along with a minor increase in resistances against Physical, Fire, Electricity, and Acid-type damage.
- Motivity: This will affect your damage with weapons that scale with Motivity and also a minor increase in resistance against Physical, Fire, Electricity, and Acid-type damage.
- Technique: This will affect your damage with weapons that scale with Technique and a minor increase in resistance against Physical, Fire, Electricity, and Acid-type damage.
- Advance: This will affect your damage with weapons that scale with Advance and also give you major resistance improvement against Fire, Electricity, and Acid-type damage.
Lies of P Best Stats to Level Up: Focusing on Four Main Stats

When it comes to making a good build in Lies of P, at least stats-wise, you should focus on four stats rather than all six of them. This means focusing mainly on three stats and one extra. However, which of the four stats you should focus on comes down to what kind of build you are going for. Let’s learn which of the six stats you need to focus on the most.
First Priority: Motivity or Technique
Motivity and Technique stats are your two choices for increasing your damage. While you technically can focus on both for a balanced build, this will eventually make you fall short and be weak in the mid to late game.
The reason why you should only focus on one or the other is that the weapon handles you find in Lies of P have a scaling rank in only one or the other. There are few weapons that have the same rank in both but focusing on one means you will be able to use those, plus the weapons that scale well with your chosen stat.

The way scaling works is that if a weapon handle has a B rank in Technique but a D rank in Motivity then that weapon is going to scale its damage more based on Technique compared to Motivity. This means the higher your Technique, the higher the damage of that weapon. The same goes with a weapon that has a better rank in Motivity instead.
This is why Motivity or Technique should be the stats you level up the most because it allows you to be powerful and deal lots of damage with every hit.
Second Priority: Vigor or Vitality
Vigor or Vitality should be the stat you put points into the most after Motivity or Technique as these are the Lies of P best stats to level up. Your choice here between Vigor or Vitality simply comes down to your earlier focus between Motivity and Technique.
If you go for Technique, this means you will be using weapons that are fast and agile much like yourself with these weapons. Since you are going to want to dodge and move around all the time instead of guarding and tanking attacks, you need to go for the Vigor stat.
If you went for Motivity, this means you will be using weapons that are heavy and hard-hitting, requiring you to often block attacks or outright tank the damage. Because you will need to have high guard regain and a good amount of health to survive, you need to go for the Vitality stat.
Third Priority: Capacity or Advance
When it comes to the Lies of P best stats to level up, Capacity and Advance rely heavily on a focused build. This can tie into your earlier choices yet again and help you push the focus further into a type of build.
If you want to equip heavy damage resistance items, equip heavy Legion Arms, and want to equip two weapons at a time, then Capacity is the way to go. This choice goes well with a tanky Motivity and Vitality-focused build.
If you want to be an elemental powerhouse and be able to deal lots of element-based damage (like Fire, Electricity, and Acid) and at the same time, also be able to resist elemental damage as much as possible, you will want to go with Advance instead. This choice goes well with a more nimble and agile build that is focused on Technique and Vigor.
Fourth Priority: Any Stat
This leaves us with the final choice for the Lies of P best stat to level up choices. This fourth choice should be focused less than the three you chose from earlier. As to what you should pick, this should be based on what you feel you require in your own build to be better.
As long as you focus well on the three main stats, this choice will only get rid of annoyances. Like putting some points in Capacity so that you can roll better with your chosen items, or Advance so that you can tank some more of the elemental damage.
