The release window for Greedfall 2 Early Access was announced today during Namcon Connect 2024. The game is set to release in early access in Summer 2024. Interested players can now wishlist the game exclusively on Steam.
The news was revealed through an Early Access Release Window Trailer. While the game is coming out on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC, the wishlist option has been currently made available only for PC players via Steam. It looks like the early access will only be available to PC players, while the game will come to PS5 and Xbox Series S|X consoles after its full release.
The sequel for 2019’s ARPG Greedfall is titled Greedfall 2: Dying World. The new installment is set to take place three years before the events of the first game. The freshly released cinematic trailer offers a closer look at the game’s new protagonist, a rebel from Teer Fradee. Uprooted from her native island, she has to overcome the forces of evil and unleash her magical abilities on her oppressors.
Greedfall 2 is set in the expanded universe of its predecessor. Apart from familiar locations in the Old Continent, players will have a chance to explore new locations, such as Olima and Uxantis. According to Namcon, Greedfall 2 will focus on exploration.
The map of Greedfall was confined to a singular island. However, in the sequel, players will have a massive open world of Gacane to explore, which is full of multiple different nations.
