The Finals Season 2 will take the game up a notch by introducing a “hacking-themed” maps along with new weapons and abilities.
The first season of The Finals launched with the concept of a game show where contestants shoot each other in a 3v3v3 match to win the prize. The second season’s story shows CNS, a rogue cyber collective hijacking The Finals. The hackers will add their own twist to the game show as producers try to decipher the cryptic code.
New Game Mode, Hacker-Themed Map, More Weapons
Keeping in line with the hacker theme, The Finals season 2 will get Power Shift, a new 5v5 game mode. The game will move to a brand-new, neon-style map with voxel bridges and glitched floating geometry. This will not only make parkour more challenging (and fresher), but also add new ways to use the destructible environment to your advantage.
But here’s perhaps the biggest highlight of season 2: A new Hacker Playstyle that will allow players to switch builds during matches. This means if a particular loadout isn’t cutting it mid-match, you can respawn with a different build to switch up the strategy.
And there are new weapons. Lights will get 93R, a new burst-fire pistol. Mediums will be able to use a new FAMAS burst AR, while Heavys get a new slug shotgun, KS-23. To round up the new theme, The Finals devs are also adding some “hacked” tools that players can use in tactical situations.
‘The Dematerializer’ will allow players to erase walls or other physical surfaces temporarily. The Anti-Gravity Cube will lift objects and contestants. The Gateway for Lights will be quick-to-use portals but not see-through. Finally, The Data Reshaper will turn enemy defenses into random objects like chairs or tables!
All of this is coming in Season 2 of The Finals, which goes live on March 14 for PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
