Ubisoft has announced a massive content boost for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Spread across the rest of the year, the new roadmap includes three free updates and a paid story DLC.
The new PoP title will get a speedrun mode as well as a permadeath mode in Warrior’s Path, the first update arriving on March 20. Sargon, the protagonist, will also receive new outfits.
Spring update for The Lost Crown will add a new Boss Rush mode. Going by the name, I’m guessing it’ll test players’ combat skills against multiple bosses consecutively. The Summer update will add new puzzle, platform, and combat challenges along with fresh outfits and amulets.
The crown jewel of the roadmap, the story DLC will be released “later in 2024”. Ubisoft has kept its details under wraps at the moment, but it has confirmed that players will have to shell out some extra bucks for the DLC.
This announcement comes weeks after there were rumors of the game selling only 300,000 copies. Regardless, the free updates could be a much needed second chance for the critically acclaimed game to lure more players.
