Ubisoft has shared some big changes for the upcoming Y8S3.3 update for Rainbow Six Siege. It’s going to shake up how the game is played, especially if you like using Iana and Warden in Ranked matches.
Ubisoft has alerted players to anticipate around 60 minutes of downtime today, with the possibility of an extension if the process encounters unexpected challenges.

Here’s a rundown of the Operator balance adjustments slated for the Y8S3.3 patch in Rainbow Six Siege:
Frost
Adjustments for Frost Traps
- Operators caught in Welcome Mats can now free themselves or seek assistance.
- Falling into a Welcome Mat will down the operator.
- A player can only be downed by a Welcome Mat once per round; subsequent falls will result in elimination.
- Removing the trap solo applies a 60-second debuff: 20% slower movement, inability to sprint, leaving a blood trail, and health set to 20 (as when standing up from a downed state).
Warden
Operator Stat Changes
- Armor increased from 2 to 3.
- Speed reduced from 2 to 1.
Gridlock
Loadout Tweaks
- Gadgets: Breach Charges replaced with Frag Grenades.
- Secondary Weapon: Gonne-6 removed.
Finka
Loadout Adjustments
- Gadgets: Frag Grenades added as a third option.
- Secondary Weapon: Gonne-6 removed.
Iana
Loadout Modifications
- Gadgets: Frag Grenades replaced with Stun Grenades.

Cross-save Functionality
Some parts of the player’s saved profile will now be shared across all platforms, including:
- Visual customizations.
- Common gameplay options.
- Progression.
- Matchmaking preferences.
Additionally, Operator loadouts and equipped weapon attachments will be shared across console platforms, but not between consoles and PC.
Bug Fixes
Gameplay
- Addressed an issue where gadget deployment detection was inconsistent on reinforced walls.
- Resolved a problem where all players would see deactivated VFX for electronic devices if Fenrir was affected by an EMP.
- Fixed a bug causing a black screen after eliminating Iana while she uses Gemini Replicator.
Level Design
- Rectified instances where operators could vault on specific structures, like the statue on 1F Spiral Stairs in the Consulate map.
- Fixed a bug with Ace’s S.E.L.M.A. Aqua Breacher failing to detonate on a destructible wall leading to 1F Emergency Exit in the Consulate map.
- Corrected compass location display errors at 4F Cockpit on the Yacht map.
- Prevented users from skipping parts of the Attack tutorial by vaulting over sandbags at SW EXT Street.
Operators
- Addressed orientation issues with Ram’s BU-GI when thrown upside down in rappel.
- Fixed a bug where Ram’s BU-GI would stick to a wall if deployed while crouching.
User Experience
- Fixed the use of an incorrect PC directory name for the game settings file saved in the user’s My Documents.
Audio
- Fixed instances of overlapping audio during the kill cam.
- Addressed missing audio lines during the Preparation Phase timer running out.
- Fixed the issue where Aruni’s Surya Gate and gadget SFX couldn’t be heard through walls.
