Ninja Theory is making an appearance at the Xbox Developer Direct on January 18. The developer is expected to discuss major details about the next installment in its highly acclaimed Hellblade series. But it looks like the release date for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 has leaked beforehand.
According to insider information received by Exputer, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will release on May 21, 2024. While the source of this information remains anonymous, the reporter claims the aforementioned date is “reliable enough to be talked about ahead of time”.
Given Exputer’s reputation, I don’t have a reason to doubt the credibility of their source. Now that the alleged Hellblade 2 release date is out in the open, and if it is accurate, it’s highly likely that Ninja Theory will confirm this at the event day after tomorrow.
Hellblade 2 was first showcased way back in 2019 at The Game Awards, and fans have since been waiting for the release of the Xbox-exclusive. The makers of the game even went on to say in 2022 that the sequel will make the first game look like an indie title. This will hopefully stand true when we get to see some new glimpses of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 at the upcoming Developer Direct.
Ninja Theory is yet to comment on the release date leak.
